As the hands-on manager of his family-owned trucking company and a popular government leader (elected to his second term with more than 70 percent of the vote), Graves brings a unique perspective to the legislative policies shaping the food-shipping arena. While Governor, he worked closely with rail, trucking and highway interests to promote efficiency and economic growth. After leaving office January 13, he takes over as CEO and spokesman of the American Trucking Association. Important Tidbits

Casual attire is appropriate for all aspects of the conference, including the reception and dinners. Expect temperatures to range from 75 degrees in the daytime to 55 degrees at night. Bring a sweater for the receptions and dinners as some of the events will be outside. The distance from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to the resort is 12.5 miles and approximately 15 minutes driving time.

Additional golf tee times for McCormick Ranch Golf Club or nearby courses can be arranged by contacting the Concierge desk at the resort 480-991-3800.
Conference tournament golfers will carpool from the resort (5 minute ride) to McCormick Ranch. Continental breakfast at the course will be available at 6:45AM Sunday, February, 23, 2003. Rental clubs and shoes are available at the course and payment can be made by cash or credit card.

FSA recognizes the challenge of career / life harmony and therefore, we welcome your spouse / significant other at the receptions and dinners. We also offer a spouse program on Monday, February 24, 2003, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Spouses / significant others will enjoy a continental breakfast at the resort, providing an opportunity to renew acquaintances and meet new folks. The deluxe motor coach will leave the resort at 10:00 AM for a docent guided tour of the renowned Heard Museum and a gourmet lunch at Arcadia Farms. Ample time for shopping and browsing in Scottsdale's Old Town will be provided following the luncheon. The motor coach will return to the resort at 4:00 PM. The cost for all activities is $35 and can be paid with the conference registration or separately.
